Kikuo Funabashi (1942-) Printmaking artist Born in Tokyo. Currently lives in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo. Established Seiseikai in 1977 and published 26 collections of printmaking art. Held Seisei-ten Exhibition 9 times. Bradford International Exhibition in 1986, Kraków International Printmaking Biennale “Intergraphia” in 1988, “International Graphic Art & Poster Exhibition” and Asia International Exhibition in 1991. Every year, Sapporo International Printmaking in 1993 and 1995, Triennale Kraków and MG’97 in 1997, Contemporary Japanese Printmaking Commemorating Exhibition in 1999 and 2001, First Shiko Munakata Award and Contemporary Artist Association Selective Exhibition in 2003, NEWPRINTERS in 2004, International Mini Print Triennale in 2005, and Genten Commemorative Award in 2009. Member Award in 2014. Currently a member of the Japan Artists Association. A member and management committee member of the Contemporary Artist Association. Held 17 solo exhibitions and many group exhibitions.
