Nagoya Hiroshi

Hiroshi Nagoya: Born in 1955 in Saitama Prefecture, he is a Western-style artist. He graduated from Omiya Kita High School in Saitama Prefecture. Together with friends, he held the 1st Baobab Exhibition in the lobby of Omiya Public Library in 1980, where he exhibited more than a dozen works. His work, “Morning,” was selected for the Cho-Ten Exhibition at the Tokyo Central Art Museum in 1982 and “Parent and Child” at the Salon des Indépendants exhibition in 1985. His work, “By the Terrace,” was featured in the “Sermadiras: World Art Yearbook” in 1990. He was recommended by the International Art Council and became a member of the Picasso Art Museum Association and the Chagall Art Museum Association in 1995. Two of his works, “Mimi Looking Up at the Sky” and “Mimi Resting on Her Elbows While Sitting” were exhibited at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum’s AJACK Exhibition in 1999. He entered his work, “Little Girl Looking Back” at the 22nd Kyoto Newspaper Charity Art Exhibition in 2004 and “Little Girl with a White Hat” at the International Art Exchange Exhibition in 2005. He also exhibited works at the Japanese Contemporary Artist Exhibition and +8arts at the Yves Gallery in France in 2009 and was awarded the Montparnasse Art Museum Curator Award for his “The Unknown Beauty of Japan in Europe” by the Montparnasse Art Museum in France in 2011. He has received many other awards. Currently he is a member of the IMCF International Art Organization (NPO).
