SUGITANI Saiko

SUGITANI Saiko (1940-) Japanese-style painter. Born Sugitani Kayoko. Studied under Okahashi Banpo. Selected for Nisshunten four times. Received awards eight times at Salon de Fine Arts exhibition. Held 44 personal exhibitions (in other countries, Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Sasebo), and traveled to other countries 21 times. Important works are Shigisan Gyokuzoin Fusumae (8 panels, reception room), and Taimadera Nakanobo Tenjoe. Currently unaffiliated. Member of the Japan Artists Association.
