YOKOYAMA Toshiaki (1938-) Western-style painter. Born in Shiga Prefecture. Currently resides in Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture. Graduated from Mie University. Has exhibited at Bijyutsu Bunka Art Exhibition since 1963. In 1967 he received a Bijyutsu Bunka award and was recommended as a member. In 1975 he exhibited at Tokyoten. In 1979 he exhibited at a 19-person exhibition of art and culture in New York. From 1983 to 1987 he exhibited at a modern Japanese painting representative artist exhibition (France, Canada, West Germany). In 1986 he exhibited at a Salon International de Paris exhibition. In 1995 he exhibited at a Japan modern art exhibition in Beijing. Important works include “Sonzai 38,” “Ningensho,” and “Sonzai 39 (Tokon).” He created a collection of his paintings titled “Jiko Henkaku no Tabi” (2007). Currently a member of Bijyutsu Bunka Art Association. Member of Japan Artists Association.
